This triptych addresses my diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes after my ophthalmologist caught early symptoms such as extreme thirst, frequent urination, fatigue, and most notably, my sudden change in vision.
Being diagnosed with a chronic illness is an overwhelming journey of uncertainty, where every question brings a mix of hope, fear, and the need for clarity in understanding the path ahead.

The diabetes care team at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh provided me with such compassion and support to get me through one of the most stressful times in my life. I played pool for the first time during my hospital stay there.
